How Do You Get Your Life In Balance?

It all goes back to the basics.  Think back to when you were a kid or your previous experience — what calms you?  Music?  Nature? Closing your eyes?

It would be nice to operate in a vacuum. That might give us the elusive focus that makes our day.

If only I could concentrate on this one thing, I’d meet my deadlines on the project plan. If only I would isolate this one online marketing method to bring in leads, I’d be rolling in the dough. If only the kids would sit still for an hour, I’d . . .

. . . you fill in the blank.

If only, if only, if only!

Our reality is we are always multitasking in various facets of our daily living.  Do you feel like a juggler?  Do you feel like a juggler juggling eggs? 🙂

Use this six and a half minute video below as an example of what could get you grounded.

1. Set a few minutes aside for yourself and get to a quiet place if possible.  If you’re at work, maybe go to an empty conference room or go to your car.

It doesn’t need to be a big chunk of time.

What matters is you consciously take time for YOU!

2. Pick something soothing that “speaks to you.” Nature usually does.

This will be the “clearing” that grounds you as you focus on getting back in balance.

3. Get lost and indulge yourself in these few minutes. Simply “play and dance” with what comes to mind.

Preferably dwell on thoughts that put a smile on your face. Quickly acknowledge and move on from the ones that don’t.

4. Consciously take deep breaths. Savor each one.

“There is nothing about your physical awareness that connects you more to the Non-Physical aspect of your Being than that of your breathing.

Many assume that the process of breathing is only about your physical nature, but that is not the case. The process of breathing is much more than an essential function of your physical body. Indeed, it is the flowing of Spirit to you, and through you. That is the reason that when the focusing of Spirit through your physical body ceases, your breathing ceases, also.”


Simple enough? Repeat this as often as you need to. 🙂
